How to Be a Lady

Meg has posted some thoughts on the book How to Be a Lady: A Contemporary Guide to Common Courtesy by Candace Simpson-Giles. Seems like an interesting read - judging not only by the snippets she provides, but by her preamble:
Ordinarily, the sort of thing that touts demure and lady-like behavior sets me off but I kind-of read this book as a guide to being a decent human being, a guide to curtailing the number of people you piss off on any given day and that, I think, is something we could all learn from. And just so's you know, there are companion books on gentlemanly behavior which, I suspect, are more similar than not to this text.
